Dr. Frank J. Mandarino, DC, DACBSP, DAAPM, DAAETS, GT, CKTP, ART, CSTP, FMT
Dr. Frank Mandarino attended Nassau Community College in Garden City, New York. He completed an intense three year program in the sciences. He was president of the Pre-Chiropractic Society for two years. Upon graduation he was awarded the Ira D. Rothberg Scholarship for excellence in the Pre-Chiropractic program. Additionally, he was selected to the Dean’s list. From there he attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport Iowa. He graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor’s degree in Science and a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree. He was accepted to the Presidents list and received Research Honors.
Since graduation he has completed three post graduate programs and received Diplomates from the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians, American Academy of Pain Management and the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress. One highlight of Dr. Mandarino’s career was achieving the title from the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians. The honor bestowed required extensive course study and involvement in the sports arena. As of February 2013 there are 276 Diplomates, worldwide. He serves on the Medical Board for Bella NYC and is a regular columnist.
Dr. Mandarino is certified to read MRI’s, has specific training in nutrition, acceleration/deceleration trauma and Auricular therapy. He is an instructor for the Graston Technique, and is certified in Active Release Techniques, Fascial Manipulation & Functional Movement Systems.
In addition he holds certifications in all Kinesio Taping methods.
Dr. Mandarino operates a diverse Chiropractic practice that includes consulting for professional baseball, football and bowlers. He treats a large population of diverse athletes encompassing most sports. He has in clinic programs for athletes wishing to improve individual performance. There are programs as well for patients who have sustained automobile and work related traumas.
Since opening in 1991 he has six locations throughout New York City, Long Island, and New Jersey. The offices have a total of 9 Chiropractors as well as Physical Therapists, Massage Therapists, Acupuncturists. His professional affiliations are with the American Chiropractic Association, American Board Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians, American Pain Society, American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress, American Academy of Pain Management, American Chiropractic Association Sports Council, American College of Sports Medicine, Richmond Rockets, Association for New Jersey Chiropractors, New Jersey Chiropractic Counsel on Sports Injuries and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Mandarino is responsible for the health and well being of many athletes. He is an expert in the field of soft tissue and myofascial involvement. He provides unique treatment for his patients who come to him after long standing pain or loss of function in either normal daily life or physical challenges.
